Honeyhill Grove, Brighstone, Isle of Wight
Seven carefully crafted residences rooted in landscape and quality of living
- Set on the edge of the village of Brighstone, Honeyhill Grove is a collection of seven high-end residences that reframe what thoughtful, design-led development can be in a rural setting. Commissioned by a developer focused on quality over quantity, our brief was to rework the site’s existing planning permission to create homes that respond to their surroundings and offer a high standard of contemporary living.
Our design approach centred on positioning and orientating each house to maximise views across the Isle of Wight countryside, while respecting the site’s natural topography and rural character. Architecture and landscape were considered together, with a material palette that draws from local tones and textures to ensure the homes feel grounded and cohesive.
Each residence is designed with light, flow and spatial clarity in mind—balancing generous glazing with carefully crafted internal layouts to create calm, open living environments. Through Honeyhill Grove, we aimed to demonstrate how a smaller development can deliver lasting quality, with architecture shaped by its setting and the lives it supports.
